Bratz Girlz Really Rock Bratz Girlz Really Rock

Bratz Girlz Really Rock on the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2 (PS2) is an interesting collage of mini games set in the Bratz Girlz universe. The Bratz Girlz go to camp, and playing rock and roll music is one of their biggest goals. Outfit customization, and small amounts of fashion are also included in this home console video game. After playing this game I can see why my sister does not allow her daughter to interact with the Bratz Girlz franchise.

Bratz Girlz Really Rock on the home console has some of the same graphical issues the Nintendo DS version does as well. The skimpy outfits, especially the barely covering anything mini skirts. Thankfully they dress better when performing activities like sky diving. I did like the color schemes used in Bratz Girlz Really Rock. The artistic style of the graphics was okay.

I had to turn the sound down while playing the music game because it irritated my own children. The music did not bother me, in fact I liked some of it. I was not thrilled with the lyrics in some of the songs in Bratz Girlz Really Rock. There was nothing overly offensive, just lessons I would not want my niece to follow. The selfish nature of a lot of the Bratz Girlz is what bothers me the most.

I ran into an issue walking around of the Nintendo Wii version of Bratz Girlz Really Rock. It was loose, and hard to walk in a straight line. Others watching me play told me they were starting to get sea sick. The Playstation 2 controls better thankfully. The mini games control okay, and can be fun. I should let ya'll know that the mini games are generally pretty simple.

Bratz Girlz Really Rock teaches some lessons about helping others, but that gets overshadowed with the Bratz Girlz more concerned with their own images. They want to be rock stars, and they want to look good on the outside. I wish they taught lessons about looking good on the inside too. The attention the characters in this game crave could be fulfilled in healthy ways without losing their self respect.
