Astropop from PopCap Games immediately won me over with such vibrant colors. The player has a vehicle that can pull down, and the put back up colored blocks. Match four or more of the same color and they go away with a special sound effect. This idea is relatively simple, but an amazing blast to play.

A lot of puzzle games try to capture the addictive fun of Tetris, but few can even be considered in that category. I consider this Xbox 360 downloadable game to be in that category. It is interesting to note that this game is also sold on the internet for the PC, but it is cheaper to buy it on the Xbox 360. That was a nice touch Microsoft, and Family Friendly Gaming gives ya’ll the recognition ya’ll deserve for doing so.

The music in this game bring the excitement level up. The controls are very easy to learn, and have an intelligent design to them. I found Astropop to be a fun game that I enjoyed playing for a few minutes, or as long as I had time for it. I feel deep down Astropop is worth the price of admission. The concept of pulling down blocks, and then putting them back up may not be a new one; but it is one that works perfectly. It was way more fun than I thought it would be.

I hope PopCap Games comes out with a sequel, and will recommend this game to my pastor.
