Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader Make the Grade

Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade is on the current most popular video game console (editor: at the time of this review) - Nintendo DS. This hand held trivia game contains over three thousand grade school questions. THQ also made sure this version of Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade contains fun little facts about the questions. Jeff Foxworthy likes to keep the game lively as the player progresses through the game show. For those who have been gaming for a wee bit too long, you won't really win money by playing the Nintendo DS version of the game. The WMG wanted to be clear on that because there is always someone confused by that.

The WMG was expecting some sub par graphics when it came to character models of the 5th graders, but was pleasantly surprised. The kids look very realistic, and the host with the most looks okay as well. There are school types of colors used in Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade. They even included a US Flag which adds a level of respectability.

The only complaint the WMG has about this game is the low level insults Jeff Foxworthy throws at the player when they get something wrong. They are in the line of accusing the player of sleeping during the fifth grade, or sniffing glue. The Fun Facts given after a correct answer goes a long way, and includes a lot of cool educational materials.

Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade has some great replay value to it. With the 3K+ of questions(over twenty-three subjects), and the fifth graders consistently rotating what they are good at - there is a lot of games that can be played before questions are recycled. As if that were not enough more than one player can play this game at a time in a competition.

Touch screen controls have become common place in this day and age. Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade utilizes the touch controls brilliantly. Answering questions can be quick, and simple. Be careful with that speed though, because the game will try and trick you up with bad answers similar to the right one. Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade is a lot of fun to play, even if it can be a little addictive.

The WMG really likes Are you Smarter than a 5th Grade Make the Grade because it encourages education. Being able to take this game on the go means a lot to this reviewer as well. There are plenty of public school lessons in this Nintendo DS game. Hopefully this game sells well, and there will be sequels in the future.
