Scooby Doo Whos watching Who

I remember being a kid, and watching Scooby-Doo on television. The whole gang would get together and solve a mystery, exposing someone trying to scare people away. Scooby and Shaggy were always unwilling participants, and more interested in eating than unmasking someone pretending to be a ghost. The humor of the Hanna-Barbera television show was a pillar of the show. THQ has brought Scooby-Doo, and the rest of the Mystery, Inc. to the Sony Playstation Portable. They are invited to assist the GSI team, on a live reality television show. Who will win, the scientists, or the kids? Players get to control Scooby-Doo in action adventure free roam 3D levels, flee from the bad guy levels, Mystery Machine racing levels, and trap the bad guy levels. THQ has value priced this game at $19.99 US Dollars.

Graphically Scooby-Doo Who’s Watching Who? has some really nice colors, and animations to the cartoon characters. The in game movies are at a better quality than the original television show. The biggest problem in the graphical department is the camera on the chase, and action adventure free roam 3D levels. The camera is sometimes too slow, and that causes a death (falling into a pit not seen). Other times the camera was loose, and wound up giving me a headache. The female character on GSI has borderline enticement to lust clothing. There are images of cartoony ghosts that look to be taken directly from the show.

The music in Scooby-Doo Who’s Watching Who? is pretty good, and certainly reminds of the television show. The voice acting of the different characters is done extremely well. The trademark Scooby-Doo humor is present and accounted for. The sounds effects generally work well, and enhance the game play. There are some eerie ghost sounds in this game as well.

There are a very nice amount of unlockables in Scooby-Doo Who’s Watching Who? in the way of art work, and music. A normal player can unlock all of those before beating the game. After the mysteries are solved there is little reason to replay them. This game is selling really cheap, but unless you are a Scooby-Doo fan you will want to pass. It is a decent value for the money, if the camera does not cause brain pain.

The controls are generally good in Scooby-Doo Who’s Watching Who? with some looseness in certain areas. I was able to use the looseness to my advantage and actually get out of falling into some pits. The level design is decent in most of the areas. There were a few that were a bit too linear for my tastes. The clues are also usually in the wide open, and no challenge in finding them. I honestly had a lot more fun watching the movies, than playing the game.

Scooby-Doo does a good job exposing frauds, and following the evidence. It reminds me of how we can see evidence of God all around us, and how we can come to a relationship once we shed the lies of the world. The bad people are caught and punished for their wickedness. On the down side he lets fear control his actions, and tries to run away from problems.
