Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza

Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza on the Nintendo DS is a cooperative puzzle action game based on the Pet Alien franchise. This video game from The Game Factory actually surprised me. It is better than I expected and not as crude as I thought it might be. The weird looking little aliens (well okay not all are little) are trying to help their friends in need. Which is very encouraging to see on another Nintendo DS video game.

The graphics in Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza are very bright and colorful. The characters in the game all have very unique graphical traits that are sure to be pleasing to children who play this game. As an adult I found the cartoonish characters to be fascinating and non-offensive. The attempts on the 3D graphics are decent, and it looks like the Nintendo DS is being pushed to its limits in that regard. The puzzle action is represented quite well graphically. There is some small amounts of crude humor, and violence in this game. The violence is when the player makes a mistake and gets thrown off the screen, or when an enemy runs into a mine and explodes.

The sounds in Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza are pretty good. I felt the music was rather light, and upbeat. It went along with the theme of the game which is fun, challenging, but not too difficult. The sounds work quite well with this game. I did not catch any offensive sounds while playing this Nintendo DS video game.

I was rather surprised with exactly how much unlockable content there is within Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza. That alone can keep most children occupied for a very long time. In fact adults may find this kind of puzzle action, and occasional boss level to be right up their alleys as well. I find this to be a game that is worth your hard earned dollars.

Each of the different playable characters (which have to swapped out routinely to solve certain parts of a puzzle) control a little bit differently. Once I adapted to that concept the controls are masterfully done. There is most assuredly an intelligent design to the layout, and designs of the game play levels. I found this to be a fun game to play, and my five year old son also had a lot of fun with Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza as well. I really enjoy video games that make me think and adapt to new and different situations. This is one game that succeeds in that regard quite well.

It is very nice to find games like Pet Alien An Intergalactic Puzzlepalooza that pleasantly surprised me. I would love to see some sequels to this Nintendo DS video game. There are a few minor issues mentioned in the review, but overall this game is safe for most members of the family. Pray about checking this one out for your family.
