Walls of Jericho

Family Friendly Gaming seal of approval

SCORE: 99

Walls of Jericho

The Walls of Jericho on the Personal Computer is quite simply the best puzzle game I have ever played. Full Armor Studios released this gem back in 2003 and has over 1.5 million downloads on some sites. Followers walk in front of the wall, and once they are all gone your game is over. So how do you keep your followers in front of the wall? The more blocks you take care of, sandwiches, and special power blocks are some of the easiest ways. The main theme of the gameplay is to move the blocks around to create vertical (or horizontal) rows of three or more of the same color. Beating a level consists of getting three arks in a row (vertical or horizontal).

The graphics in this game are gorgeous. The special effects of the power blocks are awesome eye candy. The followers who walk in front of the wall look exactly as I imagine the ancient Israelites when they walked around the Wall of Jericho bringing it crashing down. The sounds are nicely done, and the music is themed nicely. The only complaint about the sounds is they are set on the lower level, that however is a minor issue.

Replay? You have got to be kidding me. First off this is a puzzle game. Secondly, it is one of the best puzzle games of all time. Replay is what this game is about. Beating the high scores is the first reason to replay, and then after that is seeing all the different power blocks. Gameplay is perfect block puzzler with the twist of the followers. There are a lot of different power blocks in this game that have different, and varying effects. These range from an angel dropping sandwiches to make your
followers stay longer to a horn that shakes off a decent amount of blocks from the wall.

This game is what family friendly gaming is all about. There is nothing to embarrass or offend you in this game. It has a wonderful theme from the Walls of Jericho. This game is truly for gamers of all ages. Clicking then dragging blocks, and working on matching blocks.

Majors props go out to Full Armor Studios for making a video game that gives families a choice of a good, wholesome, clean, and fun game to buy. They provide a free download with ten free plays. The game can also be bought for a mere $19.95. It is highly encouraging to give this game one of our higher recommendations. If you do not believe us, then accept our challenge, and download it. Then get back to us.
