Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and Fly
SCORE: 97
American Game Factory has been on a tear as of late with really good
games that are not only fun for kids, but teens, and adults as well.
Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and Fly was above and beyond what even I
expected. I really want good kids game, and that has a lot to do with
being a mother. It is nice to use video games that will help reinforce
good lessons to my children, and they have fun at the same time. Many of
the characters from the well known cartoon are in this game, and shine
as brightly in this Nintendo DS game cartridge. There are a couple of
different game styles included in Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and Fly.
Some involved cooperative teamwork, while another utilizes the
microphone (by blowing into it), and still others are side scrolling
type of levels. Fruit is collected to open more levels, and honeysuckles
are gathered to give the player additional skills andor life. There
really is no story behind why different characters are going different
places, but kids in the target age group would not be that interested in
a story anyways. Neat pictures can be unlocked by playing Bug-a-bonus
(extra levels).
Graphically Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and Fly is very bright and
colorful. (editor: it is important to note this was played on the
Nintendo DS Lite). The details are done really well, and all of the
characters look just like they do on the cartoon. This little blue guy
to the left is one of my favorite characters in this entire series.
Wholesome images are used properly. I found absolutely nothing wrong in
the graphics department.
Oh my word the sounds are awsome in Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and
Fly. They are very crisp, clear, and pleasant to the ear. The music is
cheerful, and has brought joy to my life, and my four year olds life as
well. The music, and sound effects all work perfectly with the action on
the screen.
At first I did not think there was a whole lot of replay, but then I
thought about all the extra levels, pictures, and cool stuff to unearth.
Add into the mix, this is a childrens game; and the reality comes into
view that there is quite a bit of replay in Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop
and Fly. Even though replaying levels do not give the player a whole lot
more, I found them fun to replay anyways. As a mother who handles the
budget, I can say that this is a game that is worth your money. It
certainly is worth mine, and I am very thrifty.
Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and Fly has great gameplay. The variety
in the different kind of levels really keep the entire game fresh, as
well as constantly fun. The designs work well with one exception. The
learning curve on the levels where blowing into the microphone are
required. It can take a little while to actually figure those levels
out. I also found out that be careful how hard you blow into the
microphone or you can get light headed. You might want to warn children
about that as well. I had a whole lot of fun playing this game, and so
did my four year old.
I totally want American Game Factory to release a sequel to this
game. In fact a yearly release would be great. This game promotes family
values, and is one I would recommend to my pastor. It was a total joy to
play and review this game. Miss Spider Harvest Time Hop and Fly is
totally safe for the entire family. Well now that my four year old is
asleep I can go ahead and play this game some more. Check this one out.
