MegaMan Battle Network 6

MegaMan Battle Network 6

Megaman Battle Network has had its ups and downs as a series. The first game through the third installation were excellent, with MMBN3 being the pinnacle of the series. Part four was a pure proselytizing tool for buddism. We gave Capcom another chance with MMBN 6, and thus far it has been a pretty decent family friendly game. This is the RPG series where players jack into the internet with Megaman (and other Navis) to explore the net. Battles are fought on a three by six grid (vertical by horizontal) separated into sides. Cartoon style violence is in the game, and thankfully there is no occult magic (editor: no magic at all). The storyline reminds of certain Pokemon stories of two creatures of immense power. Megaman uploads one of the monsters into his memory (this series is very high tech), and has to fight with it to retain power. A full review will be appearing in the upcoming (August) issue of the amazing Family Friendly Gaming #7.  {07/10/2006} -RPG Master
