Country Church are Appalachian Gospel Instrumentals.
The banjo sounds in Mike Scott & Friends The Old Country Church exhibit
a nice degree of talent. If you do not like banjo or blue grass then you
will probably baulk at the sounds on this CD. My only complaint is the
lack of words. Yes I know what instrumental means. I have never like
instrumental. I like to hear the words. I reflect on the meaning and the
messages found within each song. So in that regard Mike Scott & Friends
The Old Country Church is a bit of a let down. Even a bad voice is
better than no voice in my humble opinion.
