Ash

Family Friendly Gaming reviewed Ash II Shadows recently. This game was so interesting that this reviewer purchased the original Ash. The original is vastly different than the sequel. In many ways Ash is better than the sequel. It is more of a true old school role playing game. Ash requires the player to grind in certain parts. Purchasing better equipment can make areas easier. There is also a cap of level 40 in Ash. Which is sort of lame, but acceptable. The storyline of Ash II Shadows makes a lot more sense after playing Ash. This is a great franchise on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Look for a review coming out in a future issue of Family Friendly Gaming. Probably issue #57 if all things go well.

Ash is only ninety-nine cents. If you like old school role playing games, then this one provides the cost of admission and so much more. The story is interesting, and reveals itself slowly. SRRN Games knows what they are doing, and put a lot of work into Ash. The rating is 9+ with these descriptors: "Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes, Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence, Infrequent/Mild Mature/Suggestive Themes." There are certain female pirates that could have been wearing better threads. And threads is being pretty literal concerning their outfits. Monsters are enemies in this game, as well as corrupted creatures (which can include humans).
