New Super Mario Bros Wii
At E3 in the year of our Lord 2009 I was impressed with what I saw of New Super Mario Bros Wii during Nintendo's press conference. Sure it was cool being there live in person, but getting to play Mario with three family members appealed to me. At the time I did not consider the logistics of such a thing. Players have to work together, or problems will ensue. I have already lost track of how many times I have died because someone I was playing with got in the way (or jumped on my head when I was trying to jump over a chasm). We waited for our reviewable copy for awhile here at Family Friendly Gaming before I broke down and purchased the game. The graphics are very sharp and fresh on the Wii. If you played the Nintendo DS version of New Super Mario Bros then you have some idea what to expect. Various worlds like ice, desert, and water are present. Mini games as well as a lot hidden paths are included. Nintendo has done a good job with New Super Mario Bros Wii. The sounds are typical Mario sounds. Luigi, Yellow Toad, Blue Toad, and Yoshi join Mario in this Wii game. Princess Peach must be rescued so the source matter is kept the same. The ice flower and penguin suit are some new additions that fit the theme of this game masterfully. I hope to get a review in an upcoming issue of Family Friendly Gaming. {01/03/2010} - Paul
