Tom and Jerry Tales

Tom and Jerry Tales

I loved watching Tom and Jerry as a kid. I would cheer everytime the cat would catch that ever so annoying mouse. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment decided players of all ages could enjoy Tom and Jerry Tales on the Nintendo DS. This video game tries to capture the feel of the chase, but you have to be the mouse. Once I got over that disappointment I had to realize that Sensory Sweep Studios pretty much is trying to capitalize on the license. Specific levels have to be replayed multiple times trying to achieve different things. If the levels were broad and expansive 3D levels that would be digestible, but they are running in one direction with a little wiggle room left and right. The graphics are not very polished, and there is little variety in what the player has to do. The one area of variety is playing mini games on the touch screen. The problem is the player has to quickly move off the control pad, and over to the touch screen, and then back again. Pass on this one at least until you read my review coming soon. {03/27/2008} - Luke
