Tecmo Bowl Kickoff
I hit it off immediately with the developer of Tecmo Bowl Kickoff from Tecmo on the Nintendo DS. This hand held video game that returns players to the traditional roots of the series is welcome here at Family Friendly Gaming. I remember being a kid and playing Tecmo Bowl on the 8-bit NES. The Nintendo DS version due out in September 2008 is simply great. They have a few tweaks to work on before release, but what I played at E3 was exceptional. Sports gamers have a reason to rejoice as stylus sports action is being done right. The players can customize their teams how they see fit, which does not restrain them to the NFL (since EA has strangled out competition in that regard). The main game play action is small, but those cut scenes are spectacular. In fact I remember Tecmo being known for the cut scenes back in the day. The developer also assured me that the dropping way back, and throwing a monster bomb pass will be allowed in this version. Wi-Fi, and wireless games will be included so you can play friends locally, or around the world. The super abilities is one feature that will appeal to gamers of all backgrounds.
