Petz Dogz 2
I loved Nintendogs so much that I have three different versions of that game. Sure it is essentially the same with different starting breeds, but that game is so much fun. I had high hopes for Petz Dogz 2 from Ubisoft on the Nintendo DS. I was in for a little bit of a shock as this is not a little doggie simulator like Nintendogs. Instead it is a collection of mini games to earn items for the very cartoonish looking dog the player choose. The puppies can be petted, but it is just not the same. The hula hoop mini game is one of the more original, and fun games I have played in years. The rest of the mini games follow card games, which means it is really the luck of the draw. Poker is one such card game that may raise a few eyebrows especially if the gambling addiction problem in American today. Still parents who are looking for a generally safe game on the Nintendo DS might want to check this game out. For those that are a little more patient, the review for Petz Dogz 2 will appear in the next issue of Family Friendly Gaming.
