Yoshis Island
Late last year Nintendo released Yoshi's Island DS, and I am finally getting to some of my backlog. Yoshi carries Baby Mario, Baby Donkey Kong, Baby Wario, and Baby Peach through the various levels. If the player gets hit by an enemy the baby gets knocked into a bubble, and the player has so many seconds to retrieve the little one. This protection of babies is very admirable indeed. Nintendo has included quite a few interesting uses of the dual screens of the Nintendo DS in various levels. All of Yoshi's skills from earlier games are present, along with a few new ones. Each of the babies grant Yoshi a different skill (Baby Mario gives Yoshi speed, Baby Donkey Kong gives him strength, Baby Peach gives him the ability to fly and Baby Wario gives him magnetism). There are plenty of hidden items, and collectibles for those interested in getting the highest score possible.
