Sonic and the Secret Rings

Sega has found that good old Sonic the Hedgehog magic with Sonic and the Secret Rings. This game is slotted for retail release on 02/20/2007. Family Friendly Gaming is giving ya'll a sneak preview of the complete retail version almost a full week before it hits store shelves. The Wii Remote controls are perfect, and this is a Sonic game that handles properly. The different levels, and leveling up to open the levels works better than expected. The graphics are also a HUGE surprise as they look really nice (especially the water effects). The storyline follows a genie, and an evil force destroying the words in a book. Sonic is the only blue rat (err joke from the game ya'll) who can save the day. The music is some heavy guitar rock that gets the adrenalin flowing. Expect a full review to appear in the fabulous Family Friendly Gaming #11, and online very soon. Thus far this is one 'E' rated game (with the descriptor of Cartoon Violence) worth checking out on the Nintendo Wii. {02/16/2007} - Paul
