Love Hate Relationship with Nintendo
Cordova, TN; December XX, in the year of our Lord
2017--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in
covering the family friendly video games is recounting our love
hate relationship with Nintendo. First and foremost Nintendo
generally makes video games that are more family friendly than
Microsoft or Sony. Although Microsoft has improved over the
years. Purchasing Rare helped Microsoft out quite a bit. The
Forza Horizon games got better with each release in terms of
family friendly content. Nintendo has been adding more
questionable content to their recent games like spiritual
possession in Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo makes innovative
video game consoles. Sure they borrow heavily from others like
Apple. Nintendo adds one new element to their well known
franchises and does not go outside of the box very often with
their core content.
Family Friendly Gaming has been a long time supporter and
defender of Nintendo. We have also criticized them for attacks
on Christians. For nine years Nintendo sent us whatever we asked
for. When we exposed them for their discrimination against
Christians they stopped talking to us, and sending us anything.
In essence they acted in a corrupt, unprofessional, rude, mean,
and hateful manner because we shined the light of truth on their
ugliness. There is good and bad in dealing with Nintendo. I know
plenty of other gaming journalists that are constantly angry at
Nintendo for a variety of reasons. We still play their games,
and we call a spade a spade. We are not concerned with how they
will react to what we have to say. If they want to continue to
act like a toddler with their fingers in their ears – let them.
We will do what is right no matter how they try to corrupt us.
Nintendo has billions in their bank account. They got that from
fleecing gamers. We will continue to make that point. They
should be mature enough to handle a little professional
criticism. They act like the Emperor in the Emperor’s New
Clothes though. We will continue to treat them with respect,
kindness and professionalism. Telling the truth is more
important than perpetuating a lie. Nintendo still does a good
job making games for most ages. We will make that point as well.
We are not Nintendo fanboys, nor are we Nintendo haters. We are
honest, genuine, true, real, and honorable. I wish we did not
have to shame them so often concerning their lack of
professionalism. I wish they did not heap coals on their head
for their behavior and choices. It is what it is. It comes down
to this – Nintendo makes good games for families generally, and
their treatment of Family Friendly Gaming and others is way
below average. Which is why we have a love hate relationship
with them. We love the games they make usually, and we hate how
their PR and Marketing department behaves.
