Wheel of Fortune and THQ Collaborate on Video Game Integration

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. - October 21, in the year of our Lord 2010 - As part of the collaboration between THQ Inc. and Wheel of Fortune to produce a video game version of the show for Wii and Nintendo DS, America’s #1 game show will be integrating the product into its 28th season.

As a sneak peak of the game being released in November 2010, the game animators created a series of opening sequences for Wheel of Fortune.  The spots feature Pat Sajak’s and Vanna White’s Mii™ avatars in fun action scenes that correspond to the show’s theme that week and run just before Pat and Vanna are introduced.

Additionally, during Wheel of Fortune’s Halloween Week, the game will be featured in a goodie prize package on the wheel.  On Friday, October 22 and Thursday, October 28 contestants on Wheel of Fortune will spin the wheel for a chance to win a prize pack sponsored by THQ that includes a Sony HDTV, Sony Blu-Ray player, Sony home theater system and a Wii game console complete with a copy of Wheel of Fortune

Wheel of Fortune for Wii and Nintendo DS, like the game show, will have up to three players at the wheel solving thousands of word puzzles to win virtual cash prizes and is voiced by show hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White.
