Ubisoft Releases Who Wants to be a Millionaire

SAN FRANCISCO – OCTOBER 6, in the year of our Lord 2010 – Ubisoft® and Ludia Inc., under a license from Disney-ABC Domestic Television, have released an all-new video game that’s based on the popular television game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.  Making its debut appearance on the Wii™ system from Nintendo and the Nintendo DS™ system, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is now available at retailers throughout North America for an MSRP of $29.99.  The game is rated “E” for Everyone.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is based on the wildly popular and Emmy-award winning TV game show that debuted in 1999 and has been in U.S. daily syndication since September 2002.  Players will take the hot seat in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire video game with a chance to win $1,000,000 by correctly answering 15 multiple choice trivia questions.  And just like the contestants on the TV game show, players will also experience the pressure of hearing the host ask the signature catchphrase: “Is that your final answer?”  Additionally, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on the Wii™ system from Nintendo will feature a highly anticipated, unique multiplayer game mode to fuel the competitive fun between players.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire franchise is one of the most internationally popular television franchise of all time, and has been licensed or optioned in 120 countries.

Game features:

Single Player: Challenge your own score in this intense brain challenge and complete various achievements to unlock new customization options for your avatar.  With 3000 questions the game offers more than 20+ hours of game play.

Party Mode: For the first time ever, compete with your friends in Party Mode.  Up to four players can play simultaneously.

Avatar Customization: Create a fully customized avatar including body, hair, face, clothing and more!  New customization options become available as you play the game.

Special Rewards: Unlock bonus items as a reward for progress in the game.
