Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 on the Wii creates one of the most immersive, interactive golf experiences in video games with all new swing mechanics and camera angles. With only a few days left until release, below is a detailed recap of the innovation in this year’s title.
Ryder Cup: Choose your team and play through the Ryder Cup tournament on the challenging Twenty Ten Course at Celtic Manor Resort. The Ryder Cup mode provides complete control of rosters, match ups, length of tournament and the ability to tweak matches mid round for a personalized experience. Ryder Cup mode is family-friendly with match types such as foursomes, fourballs and singles.
Wii MotionPlus Enhanced: Building off the innovation of the Wii MotionPlus in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR on the Wii, this year, two additional swing types are added to provide a new level of authenticity on the course.
· Advanced Plus not only tracks swing rotation, but also tracks swing plane; reading the virtual path of your club.
· Tour Pro enhances the swing mechanic by measuring the point of contact on the ball, making it possible to miss the ball completely!
True View: A first-person vantage point gives you complete freedom of movement over the club while looking down at the ball, both before and during your swing. Watch the ball sail off into the distance after your swing with True View – no longer are you watching the golfer, you are the golfer!
Mini-Golf: Bring this family fun classic indoors with an all-new miniature golf mode. Choose to play 9 or 18 holes on one of four original courses (EA Speedway, Putts-Peak, Mini-Predator, EA Fairways) with up to four players.
Online Enhancements: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 on the Wii offers one of the most robust online experiences for a Wii sports game with the following additions:
· Online multiplayer team play, with Ryder Cup modes: Fourballs, Foursomes, and Singles Matches
· Online Disc Golf with up to four players simultaneously and all 28 courses available.
· Participate in selected online tournaments based on skill, swing type and attributes.
· Choose to automatically sign online every time you turn on your console to receive instant challenges and set new records against the competition.
Gameplay Enhancements: Experience Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 career mode in a completely new way with enhancements to the following in game features:
· New Attribute System –
o Focuses on 4 main attributes; Power, Accuracy, Spin, and Recovery.
o Pick an attribute to start with when creating a golfer so you start off strong in one category.
· New Focus System –
o Choose an attribute to boost prior to entering a round.
o Boost capacity is determined by your clubs.
o Boosts now tied to clubs only, not clothing.
· New XP and Leveling System –
o Earn Experience Points (XP) for how well you play on the course and level up your golfer to advance to higher levels.
o Unlock clothing, clubs, and attribute points that can be used to strengthen your golfer.
o Lose experience points for hitting your ball into hazards.
