Save the Turtles Release Date

 

Sabarasa announced that Save the Turtles, the compelling puzzle game available exclusive for DSiWare, is set to emerge from its development shell and be available for download on March 29, 2010 for a cost of 500 points.  In Save the Turtles, gaming sleuths must act as good humanitarians by aiding the endangered sea turtles as they emerge from the safety of their shells and into a life and death struggle as they break for the deep ocean’s cool blue water.

Boasting multiple gameplay modes, Save the Turtles possesses a Saturday morning cartoon animation bursting with vibrant colors, puzzles that increase in complexity and is set in real world beach locations.  Puzzle fans looking for an ever-increase challenge shall defended baby sea turtles as they unsuspectingly venture forth from the dark safety of their shells into the bright and unforgiving tropical environment filled with treacherous pratfalls and dangerous predators including the ever-resourceful seagull and the crafty pincer crab. 

Save the Turtles features four addictively captivating game modes that include “Save the World,” “Quick Play,” “Tidal Wave” and “Turtles Forever.”  “Save the World” presents 32 levels of challenging fun as fans try save all six species of baby sea turtles using the DSi’s stylus to hatch uncovered eggs from out of the golden sand.  Players must organize as many lines of hatched turtles as possible while keeping a careful eye out for perilous dangers before each wave whisks them to safety, thus building combos and racking up more points. 

Developed and published by highly-acclaimed Sabarasa, Save the Turtles is the first of several upcoming titles exclusively for Nintendo.  Upcoming projects for Sabarasa include two DSiWare titles, the puzzle game Primrose and Alt-Play: Jason Rohrer Anthology which is a compilation of games created by the award-winning game designer.  In addition, consumers can expect Horizon, a Balance-Board powered shooter, and Protocol, a team based first-person shooter, to be available on WiiWare.
