RUST is coming to DVD
CULVER CITY CA (July 27, in the year
of our Lord 2010) – The real population of the small
Canadian town of Kipling makes its feature film debut in
RUST, an uplifting story coming to DVD Oct. 5 from Sony
Pictures Home Entertainment and Affirm/Provident Films. The
town’s residents united to actually produce and finance—in some
cases, to join the cast of—this story of faith and redemption
written, directed, and starring two-time Emmy® and Golden Globe®
Award nominee Corbin Bernsen (TV’s “LA Law” and “Psych”). In
the story, as Bernsen’s character unravels a mysterious tragedy
and wrongful accusations, he rediscovers his own ties to God.
The RUST DVD is loaded with bonus content,
including deleted scenes, a filmmaker commentary track, and the
behind-the-scenes featurette “The Making of RUST.”
RUST will be available on DVD for $24.99 SRP.
SYNOPSIS
A man of the cloth has lost his faith and is in a
midlife crisis when he goes back to his hometown and finds hope
where he least expects it. James Moore (Golden Globe® nominee
Corbin Bernsen) is a former pastor who returns home to learn
that a family new to the area died in a mysterious fire. What’s
more, his old friend from childhood is implicated in the murder.
Convinced of his friend’s innocence, Moore sets out to uncover
the truth and rediscovers his own lost faith. RUST
is an uplifting drama with important life themes about faith,
family, loyalty, the past—and understanding the ties that bind a
community together.
