PlayStation Network Spring Fever Sale Announced

March 24, in the year of our Lord 2010 - Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) today announced that spring fever is in full bloom on PlayStation®Network. The annual PlayStation Network Spring Fever Sale kicks off on PlayStation®Store this week, offering PlayStation®3 (PS3™) and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system owners the opportunity to purchase a variety of popular and classic digital games at discounts of up to 50% throughout the season.

From March 25 through June 1, PlayStation Store will feature weekly promotions on must-own digital games to satisfy every taste – from racing thrills, to mind-bending puzzles, to adrenaline-pumping action.

Participating PlayStation Network users can also shake off the winter “blues” and celebrate the new season in PlayStation®Home with two special costumes, available only to Spring Fever Sale shoppers. PlayStation fans can create a “buzz” with the “Spring Bumblebee” costume or select a unique “Spring Flower” costume. With the purchase of an item from the Spring Fever Sale, users will be rewarded with a voucher to be redeemed for a portion of the five part-costumes. This week, Spring Fever Shoppers can earn Spring Bumblebee feet and Spring Flower feet. Shop every week to collect and build your costume.

PlayStation Network is the premiere destination for digital entertainment, featuring thousands of entertainment options for PS3 and PSP system users, including exclusive games, movies, TV shows, digital comics, original programming and more. To date, more than 829 million pieces of digital entertainment have been downloaded by PlayStation Network users around the globe.
