It’s a brand new category of interactive entertainment from the award-winning, global mystery game maker, Her Interactive. Here’s your chance to sleuth anywhere, anytime, as the iconic teen detective, Nancy Drew, goes mobile and makes her game debut on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch just in time for Christmas.

Part book and part game, the new Mobile Mysteries series of apps takes mystery fans on an interactive adventure with every turn of the page. The familiar Nancy Drew novel comes to life, branching in different directions with every choice you make or mini-game you play. The first app in the series, Nancy Drew Mobile Mysteries: Shadow Ranch, is available this December exclusively on the App Store.

As the first in the Mobile Mysteries series, Shadow Ranch is a completely new adventure inspired by the popular and best-selling Nancy Drew Adventure PC game from Her Interactive, The Secret of Shadow Ranch. Nancy must solve mysteries around the mysterious ranch, including reigning in a phantom horse, finding a lost mine, and catching a ghostly thief.

The Mobile Mystery series offers a completely new experience with a branching plotline, as told through interactive media elements such as sound, graphics, and game play, as well as text. With every choice, the player influences the path and outcome of the story – and there are multiple endings to this story. Certain choices may require Nancy to have completed other parts of the book. Plus there are fun mini-games interspersed throughout the story. It can be read and played repeatedly to fully explore all the twists and turns.

While designed specifically with the iPad in mind, the Mobile Mysteries series of apps also will be playable on iPhone and iPod touch so Nancy Drew fans of all ages can enjoy this rich new experience. Her Interactive plans to release additional apps under the Mobile Mysteries banner which are based on classic Nancy Drew novels and games. With iPad, iPod touch and iPhone expected to be big sellers this holiday season, Nancy Drew Mobile Mysteries: Shadow Ranch is the perfect app for any mystery lover – whether they enjoy books, games, or both.
