MARIO KART riding along with JOEY LOGANO
Joey Logano and the No. 20 GameStop Toyota are sporting a Mario Kart paint scheme for today’s Stater Brothers 300 at Auto Club Speedway.
In three previous Nationwide Series starts at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, Logano has a victory, as well as third- and sixth-place finishes. His win in October 2009 was his sixth career Nationwide victory and came after starting from the pole.
“No question that if you go in as a previous winner at any track, it really helps your confidence,” Logano said. “We had a super GameStop Toyota there (last October), and we passed a lot of cars to win. That helps the confidence of the whole team.”
Logano and the GameStop Toyota team finished seventh at the season-opening race at Daytona on Feb. 13.
