Livio Car Internet Radio Now Free

Livio Radio™, a developer of Internet radio devices, today announced its Livio Car Internet Radio app for iPhone®, available now in the iTunes Store as a free download. The new app offers hundreds of Internet-based radio programming options streamed through 3G / Edge or Wi-Fi connection. Designed from the ground up by Detroit-based automotive electronics veterans, the Livio Car Internet Radio includes a number of distinctive features. The app was named a Top 20 finalist at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show’s Mobile Apps Showdown.

The Livio Car Internet Radio app for iPhone is the first mobile Internet radio solution optimized for use in the vehicle. Some of the features include:

- FREE access to hundreds of stations immediately
- Search over 42,000 stations – if you find something you like it’s only $4.99 to upgrade for access to additional stations
- Six large programmable preset buttons that enable drivers to tune to their favorite stations.
- View the interface horizontally or vertically depending on how the iPhone is mounted in the vehicle.
- The latest version adds Facebook sharing in addition to Twitter, allowing users to post their favorite stations to their social network feeds.
- Browse available stations by genre, location, language, or through a search function by station call letters or keywords, and find local stations in digital sound quality based on current GPS location.
- Listen to most stations while running other iPhone applications in the background.
- Scan for another station of a similar theme or genre with the swipe of a finger.

“Being stuck in traffic sucks and while good music is no remedy it certainly helps,” said Jake Sigal, Livio Radio’s founder and CEO. “We know what traffic is like in big commuter cities and we’re on a mission to improve that drive for everyone by offering more music with less work for free.”

The Livio Car Internet Radio app is available now for the iPhone for free on the App Store, upgradeable to a premium version for $4.99. Download the app from the App Store by clicking here and visit www.livioradio.com/car for more information.
