IndieCade Officially Opens Submissions for 2010 Festival

 

LOS ANGELES, April 5, in the year of our Lord 2010 – IndieCade today announced an open call for games and creative interactive media submissions for its 2010 Festival, taking place October 8-10, 2010. IndieCade spotlights the best in cutting-edge work and innovative game design talent to the public, fostering the independent design community thriving at the fringes of this major industry.

Call for Submissions:

IndieCade invites independent game artists, creators, and designers from around the world to submit interactive media of all types – from art to commercial, ARG to abstract, mind-bending to mobile, serious to shooter – for consideration.. Work-in-progress is encouraged.

A diverse jury of industry leaders will select entries for top prizes at the IndieCade 2010 Festival. All entries for the Festival will also receive consideration for presentation at the other 2010 IndieCade international exhibitions including E3 and IndieCade Europe.

Submissions Deadline: June 1, 2010 at Midnight PST.

Mirroring the successful format of the 2009 festival, IndieCade 2010 will once again be held in multiple venues across downtown Culver City (Los Angeles), actively reaching a diverse audience comprised of savvy professionals interested in cutting-edge digital media, game developers, artists, publishers, and enthusiasts of all ages. The festival program is open to the public and includes gallery exhibitions featuring top finalist games selected by an internationally renowned jury, as well as artist presentations and illuminating talks. Attendees can also experience featured previews of anticipated new innovative works, an award reception featuring the top awardees, salons and various workshops led by industry leaders and featured gamemakers. Also, the festival will feature intimate lunches and evening programs, special VIP and networking events, as well as ongoing and city-wide gameplay.

IndieCade’s successful 2009 festival was heralded as the explosive epicenter for independent game designers and creators. Event organizers include IndieCade Founder Stephanie Barish, IndieCade Festival Chair Celia Pearce IndieCade Festival Director Sam Roberts.
