Elmo And Friends The Letter Quest and Other Magical Tales Release Date

BURBANK, CA (September 1, in the year of our Lord 2010) – Elmo is back and more lovable than ever as Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, and Warner Home Video (WHV) release Elmo and Friends: The Letter Quest and Other Magical Tales on DVD on November 9, 2010 for $12.99 SRP.  Just in time for the holidays, this extra special DVD packed with three different stories will take parents and kids on a fantastic journey with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Telly and other Sesame Street friends and celebrities.

In Elmo and Friends: The Letter Quest and Other Magical Tales, the residents of Sesame Street have many great stories of magic and whimsy to share all while discovering that learning is the greatest magic of all.  In one story, join Sir Elmo, Sir Telly and Sir Abby as knights who are on a quest to discover all about the letter “Y.” This fun-filled, 48-minute DVD continues when the Shoe Fairy (Neil Patrick Harris) magically appears and shows Abby and Telly that one shoe does not fit all; there are shoes for everyone and everything. Also, join Cookie Monster as he discovers the ironic perils of having the “cookie touch!” Through these enjoyable stories, this DVD addresses the whole child curriculum, touching on different educational goals, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development.

“Warner Home Video is thrilled to release Elmo and Friends: The Letter Quest and Other Magical Tales just in time for the holidays,” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President, of Family, Animation & Partner Brands Marketing. “Families can enjoy this fun-filled magical adventure of learning and laughter again and again.”

Gearing up for its 41st season later this fall, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history (130), as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.
