Disney had a lot of wonderful games at E3 in the year of our Lord 2010. Family Friendly Gaming is showcasing many of them on this page, with continued coverage in the magazine.

Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales is inspired by Disney/Pixar’s wildly popular animated shorts of the same name. A follow up last year’s successful Wii release, Toy Story Mania!, Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales is part of the Mania! video game franchise, featuring fast-paced, multiplayer, family fun. The game is a frenzied pick-up-and-play experience to be enjoyed by everyone in the room. With up to four players at once, Mania! games reward competitiveness and cooperation among players. The game will bring Mater together with Lightning McQueen and the “Cars” gang for a new set of adventures, capturing the endearing sense of humor of everyone’s favorite towtruck. Players will join Mater and his pals as they relive the wild stories he conjures up about hilariously unpredictable events that may or may not have taken place. The voice of everyone’s favorite tow truck, Mater, will be supplied by Daniel Whitney, “Larry the Cable Guy,” who also voices the character in the film and cartoon shorts. Expect this game in Fall of 2010.

With Club Penguin Game Day!,players can experience the fun and creativity of the snow-covered online world of Club Penguin (clubpenguin.com) on Wii for the first time. Based on the popular virtual world that’s captivated millions around the globe, Club Penguin Game Day!is a collection of fun new mini-games that will challenge and engage the whole family. Players can create a penguin, join a teamand participate in a series of events, including Sumo Smash, Java Sack, Fast Freeze, Sled & Slide, and more. Each time players beat a challenge, they conquer a zone on the island. The ultimate goal? To work together with their team and conquer as much territory as possible.

Disney Sing It Family Hits

Disney Sing It: Family Hits features beloved songs and videos for the whole family from popular all-time classic Disney films including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book as well as contemporary favorites from films like The Princess and the Frog, The Lion King, Aladdin, Cars and more. Disney fans can sing solo or with their families in collaborative and competitive modes where players compete head-tohead to their favorite Disney songs while viewing full screen videos directly from the movies!

Disney Epic Mickey

Disney Epic Mickey is an action-adventure platforming game for the Wii console that sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey of creativity and
discovery. As Mickey, the player is propelled into Wasteland, an alternate world made up of Disney’s forgotten creative efforts, and is given the power to wield paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world while determining Mickey’s path to becoming an epic hero. Disney Epic Mickey is expected by Christmas 2010, and will receive an E10+ rating.

World of Cars

The high-speed event of the year is about to take off with the World of Cars Online – a free-to-play browser-based, virtual world based on the hit Disney/Pixar animated feature, “Cars”. Gear up for an amazing ride where YOU are the Car! Get revved up to design your car, make new friends, play fun mini-games, and leave the competition in the dust. Toy Story 3, Tron Evolution, Disney Guilty Party, Disney Channel All-Star Party, Disney Sing It Party Hits, and Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue are also worthy of mention.
