THQ Paws and Claws January 2009
In January 2009, THQ is raising the bar in virtual pet care with the introduction of two new additions to the popular Paws and Claws series - Pet Resort for the Nintendo Wii and Pampered Pets for the Nintendo DS. In each of these two new engaging games, players will be challenged to complete daily tasks and routines, overcome different scenarios and obstacles, all while nurturing and caring for their virtual pets.
The popular Paws and Claws series is highly regarded by parents for helping children of all ages learn the basic principles of responsibility and dependability at an early age. To date, the series has sold over two million units worldwide, delivering top-quality pet games for kids, while instilling the values and training skills necessary to enhance their development.
In Paws and Claws: Pet Resort children will learn how to run their own pet care business by nurturing and caring for all of their four-legged and feathered guests including puppies, kitties, rabbits and horses at their very own Pet Resort. Daily tasks include feeding, grooming, and most importantly LOVING the animals.
Owners will need to train their animals to obey commands while appropriately accommodating all of the animals’ needs. Using the simplified capabilities of the Wii Remote, children will learn to grow their own Pet Care business and become every animal’s best friend forever!
Additional Game Features for Pet Resort on Nintendo Wii:
• Using the Wii Remote, owners will be able to pet their animal guests and cook up a tasty meal.
• Players will have the chance to train dogs to shake, rabbits to dance, horses to bow, and much more.
• In addition to caring for the horses, players can select a riding course and race to the finish line, avoiding obstacles along the way.
In Paws and Claws: Pampered Pets dog and cat lovers can spoil their four legged friends like never before. Using the Nintendo DS stylus, owners will provide tender love and care for their furry friends at the most luxurious and extravagant animal spa ever. Players will be tasked to run their own Pet Spa, offering services such as massages, acupuncture, soothing bathes and much more. Players will roll out the red carpet for their clients and become the stars of this new playful pet care industry while learning the basic principles of running their own business and dealing with demanding clients.
Additional Game Features for Pampered Pets on the Nintendo DS:
• Players can create custom jeweled collars with the finest of emerald, quartz and topaz stones, in their very own Pet Spa Shop.
• Welcome VIPets to their very own luxurious themed room including the Pretty in Purple, You’re a Movie Star, Big Toy, Outer Space, Outdoor Adventure, Ahoy Matey, and Ultimate Royalty Rooms.
• Care for eight adorable different animals including six dogs and two cat breeds.
• Use the NDS microphone to call the animals in from play time and treat them to a delicious meal made just for them.
• Keep tabs of their client’s favorite pampering treatments to be sure they leave with a smile on their face and keep coming back for more.
