Buzz Quiz Show Releases
December 17, in the year of our Lord 2009– Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) today announced the release of BUZZ! Quiz World, available exclusively on PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) go systems. Developed by Curve Studios, BUZZ! Quiz World takes the interactive quiz show experience introduced with BUZZ! Master Quiz to the next level, offering an updated single player mode, online infrastructure support and access to new methods of expanding the extensive library of over 3,000 questions that comes stock with the download-only title.

BUZZ! Quiz World makes the full quiz show experience more accessible than ever, giving players access to additional quiz content from any wireless hotspot. Previously only available for use with BUZZ! titles for PlayStation®3 (PS3™), a variety of PSP-specific downloadable quiz packs featuring hundreds of new questions will now be available to download via the PlayStation®Store for use with BUZZ! Quiz World on PSP.
Players can expand their gameplay experiences even further by adding free MyBUZZ! content to their question banks for the first time ever on PSP. Users can visit the MyBUZZquiz.com Web site to create and share their own quizzes or select quizzes created by BUZZ! fans from around the country to play on-the-go with BUZZ! Quiz World.
Building on the franchise’s reputation for social gaming innovation, BUZZ! Quiz World incorporates more ways for players to connect with friends and compete in multiplayer challenges than ever before. An all-new infrastructure mode takes multiplayer online for the first time, allowing up to four players to join in an online competition. Players can also utilize the Game Sharing option to take on up to three additional PSP owners while connecting into a local ad hoc multiplayer challenge, using just one copy of the game. For additional local multiplayer gaming, users can compete in a six player ‘Pass Around’ game.
Including an updated single player mode and new rounds, solo quizzing becomes a fresh experience with BUZZ! Quiz World. While testing their trivia knowledge in new rounds like Defuse and High Stakes, players can participate in a series of quiz challenges, elevating through a succession of four quiz boards to earn new trophies and unlockable characters.
BUZZ! Quiz World has an ESRB rating of “T” for Teen.
