Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame
Since 1998 those of involved
with Family Friendly Gaming have been promoting good
games for families. We have been involved in the
industry for decades. We are constantly honoring
good games for families. The Holy Bible has been the
set in stone standards we have applied to the
definitions we use. Covering these games in a wide
variety of forms has been the order of the day for
these games. We wanted to do something additional,
and special for some of the best of the best. Yes we
have a rarely given seal of approval.
What about something else though? Some companies and
some franchises deserve a lifetime achievement
award. Which is usually given when that lifetime is
over with. In video games a franchise can come back.
Companies can come back. So after much prayer,
fasting, and earnestly seeking God's will we have an
exciting announcement. Welcome to the Family
Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame. Here are the in year
of our Lord 2019 inductees. Each inductee will
receive a plaque to commemorate their status of as a
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Famer.
Sam Bury - Family Friendly Gaming
Sam has achieved a lot over the years with Family
Friendly Gaming. He has worked on multiple E3 events
in Los Angeles. He has written reviews, contribution
opinions, brainstormed, and brought all kinds of
wonderful ideas to what we do and how we do it. Sam
also loves to serve. He has humbled himself over and
over again to do things many in the video game
industry would feel is beneath them. Sam helps out
whenever and wherever he can. He has been in the
trenches here at Family Friendly Gaming for years.
He has earned his place in the FFG Hall of Fame.
Little League World Series Baseball –
Activision
If you have seen the Family Friendly Gaming Youtube
videos, or Twitch streams then you know how much fun
Little League World Series Baseball is. If you have
read the reviews then you know how well regarded the
Little League World Series Baseball franchise is
here at FFG. There have been hand held and console
versions of the Little League World Series Baseball
video games. Families can have a blast playing
Little League World Series Baseball together or by
themselves. There is such an innocence to this
baseball franchise. Little League World Series
Baseball earns its way into the FFG Hall of Fame.
Al Menconi - Al Menconi Ministries
When Family Friendly Gaming was starting out in the
year of our Lord 2005 we had been looking for any
Christians involved with video games. We suggested a
variety of different Christian organizations make a
Christian video game magazine. They all declined.
Then God told us to go and harvest in this plentiful
field. We obeyed. Not long after we started a
wonderful pastor at our church told us about Al
Menconi Ministries. Mr Menconi had a website
addressing video games before Family Friendly
Gaming. He was a pioneer in looking at video games
from a Christian perspective. We have worked with Al
Menconi ministries and it was a pleasure. His
induction into the FFG Hall of Fame is long overdue.
Asteroids – Atari
One of the early video games that is still enjoyable
today is Asteroids. Players use a small ship to
shoot large asteroids. These asteroids then break
into two smaller rocks that float through space. It
takes multiple splits to completely get rid of these
chunks of rock. The player can move around and get
destroyed by the floating debris. Asteroids was
innovative at its time and has spawned multiple
iterations and future games. When it comes to
shooting things Asteroids is one of the most family
friendly video games on the market. Asteroids
belongs in the FFG Hall of Fame.
John Madden Football - EA Sports
No matter how you feel about EA Sports, or the John
Madden franchise there is no denying the John Madden
Football franchise has impacted the video game
industry over the years. John Madden Football is one
of the longest running sports franchises of all
time. John Madden Football is one of most released
video game franchises of all time as well. Football
fans have enjoyed the John Madden Football franchise
for years. This series has touched a great many
families over the years. John Madden Football
sprints into the FFG Hall of Fame.
Dance Dance Revolution – Konami
The original get up off of your couch and move video
game is dancing into the FFG Hall of Fame. Dance
Dance Revolution ushered in a new age of video game
exercise. Without Dance Dance Revolution there would
be no Just Dance, or Zumba video games. Dance Dance
Revolution has had multiple releases working with
Disney characters, and more. There are still arcades
where Dance Dance Revolution is played. Families
interested in exercise can play a variety of Dance
Dance Revolution video games with dance pads at
home. Dance Dance Revolution also had a Mario Mix
version. Few games have inspired as much greatness
as Dance Dance Revolution.
Frogger – Konami
Which of you in the video game industry does not
know Frogger? This frog has a long history within
the video game industry. Frogger has seen multiple
different iterations throughout the years. The main
concept is always still there. We must get from here
to there. Thing is there is always something trying
to run us over or eat us. We must be careful what we
jump on in Frogger. This franchise also shows how
easy it is to create family friendly video games
that are engaging for decades to come. Frogger
personifies fun for families. Frogger hops into the
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame.
Build a Bear A Friend Fur All Seasons - The
Game Factory
Entertainment can build us up or it can tear us and
others down. Build a Bear A Friend Fur All Seasons
builds up families. This is a fun video game that is
safe for all members of the family. A high quality
video game that families can enjoy together. The
islands based on the seasons allows families some
neat diversity while playing mini games and party
games. Build a Bear A Friend Fur All Seasons is one
of those video games that improves the image of the
entire industry. Build a Bear A Friend Fur All
Seasons shows other video game companies what can be
