Labor Day 2006

Happy Labor Day ya'll. The Working Man Gamer has been enjoying the summer, and Labor Day signals fall is coming soon. It is also quite nice to be so very blessed to be able to have holidays like Labor Day. The additional time to spend with family and friends is always welcome. In fact the WMG enjoys getting taken to school by some friends in Madden video game football. Do you find it strange that a columnist for an important video game magazine would admit to losing? The WMG is honest, and there are definitely fellow gamers (and editors) better at sports games than the WMG. The WMG is okay with that, because the WMG is not defined by successes or failures within a video game.

If you read the little piece in Family Friendly Gaming #7, then you know a little history on the holiday of Labor Day. If not, what are you waiting for? Get the issue, and read it. After all one of the things that Family Friendly Gaming excels at is imparting interesting educational information. The history of how we got the holiday of Labor Day is one of the more fascinating pieces of American history. It makes the WMG wish more video games took some time to teach wonderful lessons about history as well.

Thank you for taking some time out of your holiday to read the ramblings of the WMG. It is greatly appreciated by all on this staff. The WMG would also like to thank the editor in chief for the opportunity to be given top billing for Labor Day. It is appreciated on an extremely deep level.
