Darkwing Duck #10

It took them all of this time to get this comic book pretty decent. Then the ending of Darkwing Duck #10 shocked me horribly. There will be spoilers in this review. Darkwing Duck #10 ends telling readers the end for now. I know Darkwing Duck will be back in the Justice Ducks comic book. But the Darkwing Duck comic book series seems to be ending now. Which is honestly a shock to me.

Darkwing Duck #10 contains twenty-two pages of comic book content, then advertisements, and finally the cover gallery. There is no next issue page within Darkwing Duck #10. The Disney comic books at Dynamite are expanding like crazy. They are doing all kinds of different characters in different comic books. I was just starting to get into Darkwing Duck, and they stop him. There is a rumor that he will get rebooted on Disney+.

We find out that Mer-Duck is behind the kidnapping of Launchpad. Darkwing Duck does some really good things that are major growth for him. He tells others that he needs their help. He also lets his team get the credit for saving Launchpad while he fights off and captures the villain. In essence Darkwing Duck leaves the ego behind in Darkwing Duck #10. I am really pleased to see that.

Darkwing Duck #10 feels like a transition into the Justice Ducks comic book. I just wish I had not been blindsided by this franchise ending like this. Darkwing Duck #10 contains some cartoon violence. The credits can be found on the back of the front cover in Darkwing Duck #10. There is plenty of humor within Darkwing Duck #10. I liked a lot of the jokes within Darkwing Duck #10.

Normally I am really happy for a series to end, and then I can move onto something else. I liked Darkwing Duck, and feel like ten issues is not enough to explore this character. Maybe some of the other franchises will be interesting. Many of the other Disney titles have not been as good as Darkwing Duck. I hope Darkwing Duck comes back to the comic book world at some point in the near future.
