Batman #908

Batman #908

There are things I like about Batman #908 and things I am not a fan of. Batman #908 is part of the Dawn of DC. The numbering I am using goes along with the legacy system. On the front cover Batman #908 says it is Batman #143. There are thirty pages of comic book content within Batman #908. Advertisements can be found all throughout the Batman #908 comic book. The interview page of Mike Perkins can also be found in Batman #908.

There will be spoilers in this review of this comic book. I am interested in the storyline and how Batman stops the Joker. Batman #908 is the second part of the Joker Year One. I am unclear how many parts there will be of this particular storyline. I am still somewhat engaged in this storyline and want to see how it eventually plays out. Joker learns to lose all of his fear and how to create different personalities in Batman #908.

The issues families can have with Batman #908 are violence, blood, lack of attire and more. Things go really wrong for Batman in this comic book. Selina winds up getting infected with the Joker virus. The rest of the Bat-family is also infected with the Joker virus. Joker sort of hangs around Batman in Batman #908. I am not really sure what his point is in Batman #908. He is like some ghoul hanging around.

I am not big on the art in Batman #908. Some of the art in Batman #908 feels like it belongs in a museum with that realistic look. Other art in Batman #908 is dark and grainy. I am not too clear why these different styles are being used. At times the art in Batman #908 reminds me of some of the older Sandman comic books. I was not a fan of that artwork then and am still not a fan now. I see the dramatic effects being used.

Batman #908 cost me $4.99 to purchase. I am hoping this storyline wraps up in the near future. I am not sure how much more they can explain about Batman and Joker after what has already been relayed to the reader. Batman had a trainer who taught him to conquer fear. That same teacher decided to teach the Joker. Can you guess how the Joker thanked this teacher? If you guessed the Joker killed the teacher in Batman #908 then you would be right.
