Lightyear

I am so thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of Lightyear on DVD during our Black Friday 2022 shopping excursions. I was torn on whether or not to purchase Lightyear. There are certainly some nasty, horrible, controversial, and highly divisive things within Lightyear. I know a lot of people have been boycotting Disney over their content choices. There are a lot of moral and ethical people who refuse to give Disney any attention in any way, shape or form.

By even reviewing Lightyear I know we are facing backlash from a lot of wonderful people that want zero attention given to this company. On the other side of the coin there are angry, psycho haters that want everyone to support rebellion against God. So we face attacks from two sides for touching upon this movie. God called us to do this work, and we faithfully obey. There will also be spoilers in this review.

Lightyear supposedly tells the story of Buzz Lightyear and the team of space rangers he is a part of. Lightyear lets us know that this movie was not a favorite of Andy from Toy Story. So why even tell this story then? The go woke get broke content should not even be included within Lightyear in my opinion. There were so many better and easier options to take care of the story telling in a way that is not controversial and highly divisive.

The giant onion ship lands on this planet to check it out. Buzz and two others are woken up to check it out. Vines attack them and their ship. They must also deal with these giant bugs. Buzz almost gets them off the planet but they crash. All of the people on the ship are woken up and start to try and find a new fuel crystal to get off the planet. Here is where Lightyear makes little sense to me. Buzz is the only one who goes on test flights and none of the eggheads ever figure out the fuel problem.

The issues families can have with Lightyear are violence, blood, gore, promotion of sexual deviancy, encourages rebellion against God, language, and more. Zurg's origins are redefined in Lightyear. Hollyhate cannot even keep these things straight in their own franchises. Zurg is actually Buzz Lightyear who came back after Socks solves the fuel crystal problem and is about to be arrested. He goes into the future and finds awesome tech that lets him go back in time.

Zurg wants to fix the past by using Buzz Lightyear's crystal to go back in time one more time. Buzz Lightyear wants to allow the people to keep their lives. Every test Buzz took was four years for the people on the planet. At the end of Lightyear Buzz is going to lead a new team of Space Rangers. They are going out to explore places that signals are found. Socks is a fun robot cat that really adds some humor to Lightyear.
