The Adventures of Brisco County Jr was an odd show for its time. It was a western with science fiction concepts within it. There is a quirky humor in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr Complete Series as well. Which is no surprise since Bruce Campbell is the main character. Lord Bowler is another fascinating characters in this show. As is Socrates Poole. The professor is my personal favorite character in this show.
The eclectic mix in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr Complete Series works really well. Especially seeing what the coming thing is. The case contains eight DVDs. The first seven contain the twenty-seven episodes of the show and the final disc is the bonus features. The bonus features are mainly how wonderful the show was, and how great everyone was. Well except for the corporate suits who decided to cancel the show due to low ratings.
The bad content in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr Complete Series is violence, enticement to lust, sex outside of marriage, bad language, gambling, lying, cheating, and deceiving. Much of The Adventures of Brisco County Jr Complete Series is tame compared to modern day television shows. It is interesting to see how the progression of Holly Weird has gotten worse over the years.
In my opinion The Adventures of Brisco County Jr Complete Series lost its way after the Orb story arc ended. The writers floundered with what to do next. Working for the government part of the time on spy like missions was not interesting enough to captivate the audience. I wish they had started some new story arc and built upon it. Like they did with the orb story arc.
One of the cool things in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr Complete Series is all of the traps Brisco County Jr is put in. As well as the fun, creative, and cool ways he gets out of them. It reminds me of the 1960’s Batman television show.
