Monsuno Power

Shout Factory has put together another Monsuno DVD - Monsuno Power. This disc contains five episodes, and two character bios. The five episodes are Breakthrough, R.S.V.P., Appleseeds, Eye, and Deceit. The four main characters come across their fifth and final team member - as per a vision.

Monsuno Power goes all mystical in a few areas. There are visions, and messages about trusting your inner self. This is used to guide the team towards where they need to be. Chase finally finds his father in Monsuno Power. It is a short reunion though. And we are back to looking for him.

For some odd reason the fifth member of the team Dax is working for Chase's father. He deceives the team on this even though they do not believe him. Chase's father does not want Chase knowing where he is, so Dax leaves information out that would assist the team.

We get to know new characters, and new Monsuno in Monsuno Power. The main characters are even allowed to get more than just one Monsuno at a time. There are more multiple Monsuno battles in Monsuno Power. The cartoon violence is around the same level as the previous DVD. The destruction to buildings seems a lot higher though.

The theme song in Monsuno Power continues to be great. Everyone here at Family Friendly Gaming takes notice when this song is played. The voices continue to relay emotion and circumstances in a variety of ways. I like how Monsuno Power picks up where it left off, and continues the storyline.

At the end of Monsuno Power we are still left with questions. Certain major events are alluded to in these episodes. Will the show ever realize them? Time will tell. Monsuno Power shows that this show needs to be released in entire seasons. The quality of the show as well as the character interactions is stellar.
