Yoshi's Woolly World

It is a shame that the PR and Marketing for Nintendo failed Family Friendly Gaming Universe so badly. Thankfully there was a very generous family who provided us enough money to purchase this Wii U video game. I hope to have a review in issue #106. Until then I can share the initial thoughts we have on this home console action adventure platformer. Initially I was not impressed with Yoshi's Woolly World. The Co-Op mode in Yoshi's Woolly World is horrible. Try to do one thing, and you accidentally eat the other player. They lose all of their yarn balls, and you have to launch them. This was annoying, and led to numerous real world issues. Then there is the issue of how over inflated the price is on this game. Nintendo makes small games, and charges large prices for them. This is getting old, really fast. To make matters worse they are not hurting for money with so many billions sitting in their bank account. They could afford to cut gamers a break instead of fleecing us.

I did not like the whole yarn gimmick in Yoshi's Woolly World at first either. We did not like it in Kirby, and this is not innovative in any way, shape, or form. Is Super Mario Yarn coming up next? Or maybe a Legend of Zelda Yarn? Laugh all you want, Nintendo is known for giving many of their franchises the same treatment. They apply one new idea to numerous franchises and lie to us and say it is innovative each and every time. First time - maybe. Every time after that - no way. As I have been playing Yoshi's Woolly World I have been warming up to it. I am not so against it like I was initially. Don't get me wrong, Yoshi's Woolly World has its problems and its issues. It is becoming a decent new Yoshi game to me. Nothing innovative, or too exciting. I would price Yoshi's Woolly World at twenty dollars right now. That number may change when I finish the game and write the review. We have also started a Let's Play of Yoshi's Woolly World on our Youtube channel and in our Videos section on this website. Do you want it to continue?
