The Potential Inside

The Potential Inside

Faith based films have come a long way this century. They have been provided tons of support from within the church, which has been invested into making the movies even better. I can only imagine if the church gave that kind of support to Christian video games. The Potential Inside is the latest Echo Light Studios release to enter the Family Friendly Gaming Nation. It is the story of a competitive mountain bike racer. He has pursued his career with a vengeance. Success has followed his hard work, and yes he did build that.

The lead character Chris Carmik missed the point of life though. An accident injures him, and kills his daughter. A daughter he should have spent more time with. A child he will never get to have that time with (on this side of eternity). Chris was happy to do church while things were going good. However once he lost something he loved he turns his back on God. He drinks himself into oblivion, and ignores the attempts of help from family and friends. He eventually agrees to coach a new guy with raw racing talent. As he slowly opens up he learns God put this man into his life for a reason.

The core of The Potential Inside is who are you living for? Are you living your life looking behind or looking ahead? Do you blame God because you do not have something you want? In essence are you being selfish? Are you living for others or for yourself? Do you obsess over what isn't, or do you accept what is?
