NHL 14 Cover Vote Final
May 27, in the year of our Lord 2013 – EA
SPORTS™, the National Hockey League Players’ Association
(NHLPA®) and the National Hockey League (NHL®) announced today
that the NHL®14 Cover Vote Final will pit goaltender against
goaltender as three-time Stanley Cup® winner Martin Brodeur
takes on 2013 Vezina Trophy Finalist Sergei Bobrovsky. The
winner will become the first goalie to appear on the cover since
John Vanbiesbrouck in NHL’97, the first year where the EA SPORTS
NHL franchise cover featured a single cover athlete. The NHL 14
Cover Athlete will be revealed during the 2013 Stanley Cup®
Final. Voting for this round is now live and fans can vote an
unlimited number of times at NHL.com/CoverVote, until the round
closes on June 2 at 11:59pm ET.
NHL® 14 Cover Vote Road to the Finals Recap
Martin Brodeur
Martin Brodeur defeated his teammate Adam Henrique in the first
round of competition to become the candidate for the New Jersey
Devils. Brodeur eliminated Anze Kopitar, James van Riemsdyk and
Pavel Datsyuk en route to a spot in the finals. Brodeur boasts
an impressive hockey resume that includes three Stanley Cup
wins, four Vezina Trophies and two Olympic Gold medals.
Sergei Bobrovsky
Sergei Bobrovsky bested his teammate Brandon Dubinsky for the
honor of representing the Columbus Blue Jackets in the
competition. Bobrovsky then eliminated Patrick Sharp, Taylor
Hall and narrowly defeated John Tavares to make the finals.
Bobrovsky finished the 2012-13 NHL regular season with a career
high .932 SV% and was named a finalist for the 2013 Vezina
Trophy.

This year fans can double their voting power by using these

player specific hashtag used on Twitter on Thursdays will be
counted as two official votes. Fans can join the conversation
about the cover vote every day by using #NHL14CoverVote on
Twitter and Instagram.
NHL 14 will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and
entertainment system, and the PlayStation®3 computer
entertainment system. NHL 14 releases on Sept. 10, 2013, in
North America and Sept. 13, 2013 worldwide.
