Pico Interactive Reveals New All-in-One VR Headset

SAN FRANCISCO – MAY 10, in the year of our Lord 2017 – Pico Interactive Inc. is set to shake up the world of VR head mounted displays (HMD) with the reveal of the Pico Goblin, Pico’s brand new all-in-one VR headset, at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) from June 13-15. All attendees who want to be the first in North America to check out this innovative and immersive product can visit Pico’s booth in the South Hall at booth #3033. Pico will also feature its flagship Pico Neo CV and select games at the expo.

The Pico Goblin was created with the consumer in mind – its innovative design gives users instant access to VR games, apps and videos, and is completely untethered and ultra-portable. Unlike any other VR headset currently on the market, the Pico Goblin gives people unequalled freedom to play, anywhere and anytime.

With a truly stand-alone design, the Goblin is a VR headset which takes advantage of the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 820 processor to deliver a lightweight, fully immersive VR experience for gamers. The two high-resolution 70Hz VR Displays combine to give users a resolution of 2.5K, making the Goblin is ideal for casual gaming, as well as watching VR Videos and engaging with interactive CGI experiences. Equipped with three-degrees-of-freedom (3DoF) head tracking technology, the Goblin provides total freedom of head movement for users, and comes with a 3DoF tracking controller to navigate within virtual environments.

“We created the Pico Goblin to liberate people from clunky VR technology,” said Ennin Huang, vice president of design, Pico Interactive Inc. “There’s no complex technical set-ups, attached wires or need for a Phone. As a consumer first company, we want to make the barriers to entry for completely stand alone VR headsets as low as possible, while offering flexible options for users. The Pico Goblin will do just that, and at an affordable price.”
