Zen Zone for Samsung Gear VR Launches
AUSTIN, TX - DECEMBER 8, in the year of our Lord 2015
- Unello Design has released Zen Zone, a suite of
innovative relaxation experiences on the Samsung Gear VR Store.
Known for creating calming alternatives to the typical,
adrenaline-pumping VR experience, this is the eighth VR title
from Unello Design, and their fourth relaxation experience.
Inside Zen Zone, users encounter verdant nature, soothing music,
and an interactive Zen garden to arrange as they please. In
contrast to many of the violent, scary VR games currently
available, Zen Zone seeks to calm players by offering tranquil
environments and guided relaxation sessions.
"In a market crowded with overly stimulating options, we saw a
huge opportunity to create mindful, calming experiences," says
Lemke. "As virtual reality becomes more mainstream, we at Unello
Design believe it can be used as a stress-relieving and wellness
tool, helping users cultivate more tranquility in their daily
lives."
Since VR’s resurgence, Unello Design has focused on experiential
designs that transport users to places of serenity. After
pioneering the “virtual relaxation” genre with experiences like
Waking Man and Eden River, Unello Design leverages the past
three years of experimentation and refinement to bring users
their latest offering, Zen Zone. With original music by Lemke –
a two-time Proto Award nominee – and breathtaking visuals, Zen
Zone is a peaceful place for users to visit and get a break from
their busy world.

Zen Zone is available for $4.99 on the Gear VR store, and offers
three different immersive relaxation experiences.
Two innovative guided relaxation experiences feature voiceovers,
steering users through each session with calming,
exclusive-to-VR visual feedback:
1. Full Body Relaxation: Visualizes a glow spreading slowly up
the user’s body, soothing muscles and joints as it spreads.
2. Guided Breath Meditation: Visualizes the user’s in and out
breaths, creating awareness of the powerful effects of deep
breathing.
Zen Zone also includes a personal Zen garden which players can
rake and design however they like, or simply teleport around to
find the perfect spot to relax.
