Fish Out Of Water Available Now

April 18th, in the year of our Lord 2013 -- Brisbane, Australia – Halfbrick is back in action with today’s release of Fish Out Of Water, an all-new game from the team that introduced Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride to the world, available exclusively on the App Store.

The story so far - a daredevil group of feisty fish are longing to soar above the ocean and see the world from a whole new perspective! Built with an entirely one-touch interface, players simply throw their fish to send them flying through the clouds and skipping across the waves. Characters include the speed demon Rocket, the massive whale Micro and a vacant blowfish named Errol.

In each round, players have three throws, choosing the best fish depending on their personal preference and the conditions of the ocean. The weather changes every hour, from a glassy calm surface to a raging thunderstorm. There’s even potential for glaciers, geysers and a bouncing jellyfish invasion! Each fish has their own strengths and weaknesses, so it’s all part of the strategy getting the most out of every turn.

“We want to make this a vibrant, living world,” said Luke Muscat, lead designer on Fish. “Creating a whole cast of different characters, the dynamic weather system and social leagues resulted in an exponential level of depth to a simple, fun mechanic. Just the way we like it!”

Development began in October 2012, and over the past two months Halfbrick has been applying its signature level of polish and charm to its fish-flinging arcade game. Focusing on simplicity, ease of play and an all-ages visual style, Fish Out Of Water marks the beginning of an action-packed year for new Halfbrick games.

Fish Out Of Water is available for $.99 from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
