Trivi al Hits App Store Today

Super Competitive and Social Trivia Game by MobileFWD Designed to Crunch Craniums

FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS - June 21, in the year of our Lord 2012 - Tired of the same old mindless iPhone games where the person who flicks, swipes, or taps the fastest wins? Interested in improving your IQ? Ready to determine who among your friends is the smartest? If you (correctly) answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, Trivi.al (link to App Store), the new trivia game from independent developer MobileFWD, is for you.

Built for iPhone and iPad, Trivi.al is a free, asynchronous, turn-based trivia game played between two people. Opponents are paired through Facebook or randomly through Trivi.al’s game community. The main goal of the game is for players to increase their IQ to ‘genius status,’ and progress can be tracked and compared against friends with an in-game profile.

Updated weekly, the trivia is guaranteed to cover a wide range of topics. What’s more, players should never see the same question twice. Some questions include:

According to ChuckNorrisfacts.com, what did Chuck Norris bring back to life with a smile?
What type of snake gained more than 75,000 followers on Twitter within 24 hours when it escaped from New York's Bronx Zoo in 2011?
What mythical lumberjack first appeared in a story published by journalist James MacGillivray in 1906, but didn't gain popularity until the 1920s when a logging company used him in their advertising campaigns?

Players compete in a format derived from Quiz Bowl where they must answer three rounds of questions to beat their opponent. Everybody receives a combination of Common Cents, Power ups, and special abilities to use each round, and can perform up to two actions each turn, from getting help with their own answers to depleting their opponents’ time via taunting.

Trivi.al is a member of AppStori, the community platform for mobile developers. Check out their AppStori project at: http://www.appstori.com/app/trivial
