Papo and Yo Announced as a PSN PLAY 2012 Title

Minority's Award-Winning Puzzle-Platforming Adventure Coming to the PlayStation Network August 14, 2012

MONTREAL - JULY 10, in the year of our Lord 2012 - Minority, an independent game development studio, along with Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), today announced that Papo & Yo will be coming to the PlayStation®Network on August 14, 2012 for $14.99 ($11.99 for PS PLUS members) as part of the second annual PlayStation Network (PSN) PLAY promotion. Through the promotion, fans who purchase two or more PSN PLAY titles will receive a bonus cash voucher for use on PlayStation Network. As an added extra, players who pre-order the already acclaimed 3D puzzle-platformer on August 7 via the PlayStation®Store will receive a code to download an exclusive Papo & Yo PlayStation®3 theme!

“SCEA has been very supportive of us throughout the development of Papo & Yo and that has given us the ability to really make sure our game is the best possible experience.” said creative director Vander Caballero. “We are incredibly proud to have our first game chosen as one of this year’s PlayStation Network PLAY titles!”

Developed by Minority through a partnership with PSN’s Pub Fund, as well as with the support of the Canada Media Fund, Papo & Yo follows the story of a young boy named Quico and his best friend Monster, a huge beast with razor-sharp teeth and an addiction to poisonous frogs. The minute Monster eats a frog he goes into a violent rage that’s bad news for everyone around. And yet, Quico isn’t afraid to make a dangerous journey through a magical, constantly-changing world to find a cure for his best friend.
