Enrich the Mind of Your Preschooler with Chocolapps Abricot Volume 2 for iOS

The Second Issue of Abricot, The Popular Children’s magazine in France, Is Now Available for iOS platforms on the Apple Apps Store

Levallois-Perret, August 27, in the year of our Lord 2012 – Chocolapps, the leader in France for kids edutainment applications, announces today that the application Abricot vol.2 is now available from the Apple Apps Store. This is the second application based on a partnership with Fleurus Presse, a leader in children’s publishing including the popular Abricot magazine for children ages 2 to 5 years old.

More than a mere digital version of the paper magazine, Chocolapps recreates the entire content of the magazine, adding animations, games and their unique approach to designing children’s apps, and translating it into seven languages in one application. Each issue of the Abricot application offers new activities and interactive stories encouraging children to laugh, discover, observe and imitate to develop their imaginations.

In Abricot Volume 2, children will discover new stories and new games, including:

"Bunny in Paris": In this interactive story, children will engage with almost every feature of the environment, including touching the screen to recording their own voice to replace the app’s voice. In Bunny in Paris, Bunny discovers Paris in a hot-air balloon. Children join in Bunny’s adventure by taking photos of iconic Parisian landmarks. Once he returns home, Bunny and the child learn all about the monuments through a series of short explanations.

"The Canteen": Children discover the atmosphere and vocabulary of the school cafeteria. Each background element and character are named and written. A mini-game allows children find the characters and their faces. They can choose their meal consisting of a starter, a main course and dessert, by selecting dishes from a menu. Right and wrong answers are signaled, and the menu is displayed in the cafeteria.

"Hide-and-Seek": In an imaginary medieval environment filled up of dragons, knights and fairies, children must find 10 characters in animated scene.

Two-Voice Stories: In this activity, there are two unique ways can engage with the story. In the "Discover the Story" part, the child can touch the pictures and hear the words and also listen to the whole story being read to them. They can also mix the pictures around and place them in whatever order they wish, and then listen to their new customized story. Abricot Volume 2 offers two two-voice stories: "Musician animals" & "Under the Sea".

"Dominos": In this game, Children replace the missing dominos through matching pictures.
The iPad version of Abricot Volume 2 application is available now on the App Store at an introductory price of $1.99.
