Amoebattle Delivers Real-Time Strategy in the Palm of Your Hand

LOS ANGELES, CA – April 4, in the year of our Lord 2012– Available worldwide on April 4, 2012, Grab Games announces Amoebattle for the App Store. For iPhone and iPad (yes, even the New iPad), Amoebattle delivers a true RTS experience to the palm of players’ hands all the while providing a stylized gateway into the world of microbiology.

In Amoebattle, players play the role of a microbiologist observing the microscopic world and its inhabitants, the single-celled amoebas. The microscopic world is threatened by a mysterious infection and it is up to the player to stop the infection from spreading. As the microbiologist, players control the different types of amoeba in their campaign to stop the destructive infection. With the help of AMI, the player’s trusty assistant and guide through the world of Amoebattle, the player can command their amoeba army using intuitive touchscreen controls. Through an intense 12 missions, players will encounter, study, and eventually command all different kinds of amoebas from the heavy-hitting Rhino to the fire-slinging Viper, and wage war at the microscopic level to determine the fate of our biological future.

A Universal app featuring Retina Display support for the new iPad, challenging Game Center Achievements, and iCloud Support, Amoebattle brings a highly unique tactical take to the fast paced RTS genre for an experience unlike anything else.

Created and developed by Intrinsic Games, Amoebattle will be available through the AppStore for $4.99.
