Nintendo 3DS Joins Vans Warped Tour to Spread Three-Dimensional Summer Fun

REDMOND, Wash.-- Nintendo is embarking on a fun-filled road trip across the United States this summer as a sponsor of the annual Vans Warped Tour, which brings a powerful lineup of live music and lifestyle products to cities from coast to coast. Through Aug. 14, attendees at every stop along the tour will be able to visit interactive Nintendo demo areas and experience the hand-held Nintendo 3DS™ system, which offers a wide variety of games and portable entertainment options that can be viewed in 3D without the need for special glasses.

In addition to checking out musical acts such as Gym Class Heroes, Simple Plan and Paramore, Vans Warped Tour attendees can visit a special Nintendo tent equipped with playable Nintendo 3DS systems and software. Visitors can experiment with the Nintendo 3DS Camera, create customized Mii™ characters with the built-in Mii Maker™ application and play video games including The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D, Super Monkey Ball™ 3D, Madden NFL Football, and RIDGE RACER® 3D. Players can also have fun with augmented-reality features and AR Games™, using oversized AR Cards and temporary AR Card tattoos to view virtual characters in real-world settings and interact with them in interesting ways. Attendees who bring their own Nintendo 3DS systems can use them to exchange Mii characters with other tour-goers using the built-in StreetPass™ feature.

Additional details, schedules and ticketing information for the Vans Warped Tour can be found online at http://www.vanswarpedtour.com. For more information about Nintendo 3DS, please visit http://www.nintendo.com/3ds
