Resort to Love

On one of our date night movie nights I picked Resort to Love on Netflix. I did not know much about this movie. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only me, but also my hubby. He is very critical of content within movies and he was impressed with Resort to Love as well. It takes one hour and forty-one minutes to watch this romantic comedy. The storyline in Resort to Love is very interesting indeed.

I will admit the storyline in Resort to Love is a bit on the predictable side. There are some humorous and some awkward moments within Resort to Love. Christina Milian plays Erica Wilson. She lost her fiancée and then the work she did on a Cre record because someone leaked a song and the artist got mad and trashed the laptop. With her life on the ropes she mopes.

Erica's friend Amber is a wiz at social media and one of the resorts she works for needs a singer. Amber talks Erica into going to this wonderful island resort and working for four months. There is one small issue Amber was not made aware of. SPOILER ALERT! Amber is a wedding singer in Resort to Love at the resort. This is so against how she feels after her fiancée Jason left her a year ago for a dog in South Carolina.

SPOILER ALERT! Jason shows up with his new fiancée in Resort to Love. This is where things get really interesting. Jason is not sure what he wants after seeing Erica again. At the same time Jason's older brother Caleb gets interested in Erica. Caleb is quite the gentleman in Resort to Love. Which is really neat to see out of Hollywood. I am really happy with the direction Resort to Love took in terms of romance and love.

The issues families can have is lack of attire, enticement to lust, references to shacking up, some language, and more. The content could have been a whole lot worse in Resort to Love. I am really happy things were kept the way they were. Erica learns what her true love is, as does Jason. Caleb shows he is interesting in settling down and the ending of Resort to Love is very happy.
